Shipping Information

This document outlines the standard shipping procedures, delivery requirements, and policies regarding damages and shortages for all orders placed on **wesellaircurtains.com** (RWA Ventilation Solutions).

Standard Freight Delivery

Freight charges are included for delivery to a **typical commercial and/or industrial address**. Delivery locations that do not meet the criteria for typical delivery may incur an added cost.

Typical Delivery Requirements

A typical delivery location is defined as an address that is:

  • Suitable to accept a **semi-trailer truck with a standard 53’ trailer**.
  • Equipped with the necessary means to **offload** the equipment.

Receiver Responsibility for Offloading

Equipment is delivered in a standard 53′ semi-trailer unless alternative arrangements are made prior to shipment. The carrier’s policy is to deliver the equipment only to the **tailgate of the trailer**; they do not remove the equipment from the truck.

The receiver (Buyer) is responsible for the removal of the equipment from the truck. If necessary, alternate delivery options can be coordinated at the time of order placement.

F.O.B. and Classification

  • All shipments are **F.O.B. Factory** or, if shipped from another location, f.o.b. point of shipment with charges either allowed, added to the invoice, or collected as noted.
  • Freight is included for mechanical and electrical accessories only when the accessories are being provided with an air curtain.
  • Freight Classification: Air Curtains: **Class 85**.

Optional Delivery Services and Fee Schedule

The following services are available at an additional cost to accommodate specific delivery needs. A **wesellaircurtains.com** representative will review all freight criteria with the Buyer to confirm requirements and provide exact costs prior to finalizing the order.

Optional Delivery Options

  • Liftgate Delivery: Recommended if the Buyer does not have a loading dock or forklift. A truck with a liftgate will be provided, and the carrier will bring the equipment to ground level.
  • Delivery Appointments / Notification: Delivery appointments and/or 24- or 48-hour notification prior to delivery are available at an additional cost.
  • Big City Delivery: An additional fee applies to deliveries in downtown areas of major metropolitan centers (e.g., Chicago, New York City, Los Angeles) due to limited access.
  • Remote Area Delivery: An additional fee applies to deliveries in remote areas due to the added time required for service.
  • Residential Delivery: An additional fee applies due to limited access and the requirement for a lift-gate equipped truck.
  • Redelivery: If delivery is attempted and the freight is not removed from the trailer, any subsequent redelivery will incur an additional cost. Redelivery is **not automatic**.

Optional Freight Fee Schedule

Service Fee
Truck w/ Liftgate Delivery $125.00
Notification Prior to Delivery (24 or 48 hours) $60.00
Delivery Appointment $60.00
Big City Delivery $125.00 – $500.00 (varies by zip code)
Remote Delivery Fee $125.00
Redelivery Fee $150.00 – $250.00 (varies by location)

Important Note on Zip Codes: Carriers base deliveries on zip codes and not the city name. Buyers must ensure the zip code is entered correctly.

Damages and Shortages Policy

All equipment is inspected and tested by the manufacturer before packing to ensure the best possible protection of the merchandise. **Safe delivery is the responsibility of the carrier.**

Inspection Upon Receipt

The Buyer must **ALWAYS inspect equipment before accepting shipment**.

  1. **Visible External Damage:** Any evidence of loss or damage must be **noted on the freight bill or express receipt** and signed by the carrier’s agent (driver) at the time of delivery. Take photos of the damage and document it with the driver. The Buyer has the option to **refuse delivery** of visibly damaged equipment, which will then be returned to the manufacturer.
  2. **Concealed Internal Damage:** Immediately inspect the equipment for any concealed damage from transit. Damage should be reported to the carrier within **ten (10) days** of receipt.

The person receiving the goods is responsible for filing the freight claim for both concealed and visible damage. Forms for filing damage claims are available from the carrier.

Shortages

Berner is only responsible for shortages when notified within **3 days** of receiving the shipment.
